Saturday May 26, at Nottingham, England Carl Froch (29-2, 21 KOs) TKO5 Lucian Bute (30-1, 24 KOs) Coming into the fight, many people expected Bute to get the win, some were just wondering how impressively he would win, some of us thought that the fight would be very competitive and that it would be very tough for both fighters. As we all know Carl Froch lost to Andre Ward in the final of the Super Six tournament organized by Showtime, and Andre Ward said he would fight Bute if Bute was to beat Carl Froch first. Needless to say that many boxing fans were expecting Bute to get the win on his way to Andre Ward. Lucian Bute has been accused regularly of only fighting in his hometown, so this time he wanted to prove everybody wrong by going into Froch’s backyard to fight him.
